Established in 2018 in the UK, Black Pudding Games was the brainchild of three seasoned professionals:
- Dan Nyman;
- Luke Taylor;
- Nathan Howes.
With over 30 years of combined experience in the casino entertainment realm, this trio felt a strong desire to rejuvenate the mobile casino online landscape, which they believed was becoming stagnant with repetitive game offerings.
The provider sought to diverge from the monotonous trend of aesthetic iterations of tried-and-tested base games. Its objective is to introduce fresh game formats that captivate players by incorporating interactive elements.
Recognizing the shift in player preferences towards mobile gaming, Black Pudding Games also made a strategic decision to design games optimized for one-handed play in mobile portrait mode.
A defining moment in the company's journey was its collaboration with 1x2Network, a UK-based provider of some of the most recognizable games.
For Black Pudding Games, it was an affirmation of its innovative approach. Thanks to the collaboration, the company extended its reach to a broader spectrum of reputable operators in key markets.
I decided to give one of its core products, the 5-reel video slot Atomic Reactor a try. The Orbital Reactor mechanic captured my attention. It is an ingenious concept that emerged from a collaborative brainstorming session. To be honest, it took me a little bit of time to puzzle it out.
This groundbreaking mechanic was first unveiled with the launch of the space and alien-themed Aeterna slot game. The game comes with orbital reels. Three reels continuously circle and cross each other, and I needed to align three symbols or more in an adjacent position to win.
If you are a fan of scratchcard games, I recommend the Super Selector Scratchcards series, which includes player-favorite titles like Slice & Dice.
