Triple Edge Studios, launched in February 2018, is an independent game studio providing exclusive online gaming content to the casino game giant, Microgaming.
The provider is renowned for its innovative approach to the slot game format. Instead of the standard five reels in three rows, it experiments with varying setups.
This fresh take on slot configurations is supplemented by meticulous attention to various elements for ensuring a high-quality end product for players, including:
- Music;
- Sound effects;
- Artwork;
- Graphics.
Under the banner of Triple Edge Studios, Microgaming released standout titles such as Playboy Gold and Halloween.
Specifically, Playboy Gold, which was rolled out on 7 March 2018, was Microgaming's first official release under the Triple Edge Studios brand. The game, developed under a licensing agreement, introduces a 6-reel slot format, paying homage to the renowned international Playboy brand.
To get a feel of its games, I joined Lara Croft in the Tomb of the Sun video slot, a thrilling sequel with Rolling Reels offering 1024 ways to win and escalating multipliers. Harnessing POWER WILDS for up to 3 rolls, I collected coins for the RISING REWARD Jackpots and solved the Artifact of the Sun puzzle.
With Lara's Jade Pendant, I unlocked Free Spins and delved into the Tomb of the Sun, boosting my winnings with multipliers up to 15x. The game dazzled with its visuals and kept me engrossed in its treasure-hunting narrative.
Legacy of Oz was a magical experience for me. The Hyperspins feature was a game-changer, and landing 3-5 scatter symbols not only boosted my payout but triggered Free Spins.
The collaboration gives the small independent studio access to various licenses, such as the UKGC license and the Malta Gaming Authority license.
As the provider continues to push the boundaries of mobile casino gaming, the future looks promising for both companies and their players.
