Elk Studios started out as a small and independent slot games developer in Stockholm, Sweden, back in 2013. They are innovators who created X-iter™, the Feature popular in many slots today, and even won the Game Innovation of the Year Award at the 5 Star Starlet Awards back in 2021.
In 2017 they launched Ivanhoe, a classic slot perfectly optimized for one-handed play in mobile casinos for real money. Although the concept wasn’t taken further, it solidified their mobile-first attitude towards slot games.
Ever since they have been using HTML5 to boost load times in their games and their homegrown ELK Compete to create slot tournaments, promoting the social aspects of gambling. They also use Spine and Adobe After Effects to create unique 2D art and smooth animations.
Coming to the features, Elk Studios' online slots have a lot to offer. You can expect to find X-iter™, merging symbols, sticky wilds, big symbols, wild multipliers, sticky wilds and multipliers, win both ways, wild reel, progressive multipliers, free spins, and much more when you play their games.
Slot titles like the Zulu Gold online slot come with many of these features. You are transported to the southern part of Africa as you explore the Zulu lands before the Dutch came through. The game comes with 4096 ways to win which can go up to 262144 ways to win if you play it right.
If you’re looking for a challenge you can always try the Toro Shogun slot game from the Toro series. The game might not have the best RTP at 94%, but comes through with features like win both ways, nudging wild reels, and a max win of 25000x your bet.
The studio has also won various awards coming from its long-standing Nitropolis series. They have won the award for Game Design & Art Direction in the SBC Game Developer Awards twice and have had various appearances at ICE and SiGMA events all over the world.
Elk Studios are licensed by the UKGC, the MGA, and the Romanian ONJN which ensures their games are fair and readily available everywhere no matter where you want them.
