Our Mines gambling simulator lets you play Mines with virtual credits, so you can get a feel for the game before risking real money.
Set your bet, pick your grid and mine count, and watch the multiplier grow with every tile you clear. Cash out anytime, or hit Reset Credits to start over with a clean slate.
Once you’ve had a few rounds, try a few more free casino game demos, including other Mines variants from different providers.
Setting up the Mines simulator takes only a few seconds.
Like the rising multiplier tension but want a faster round? Our free Crash game demos work on a similar idea: cash out before it’s too late, just with a climbing multiplier instead of a grid.
New to Mines?
Start with a low mine count so you can see how the multiplier climbs before adding more risk.
Here’s the part that trips people up: the multiplier climbs because every earlier pick survived, not because clearing tiles somehow makes the board safer.
Your actual odds move in the opposite direction. Each click gets riskier than the last, since the mine count stays fixed while the pool of unrevealed tiles keeps shrinking around it.
Take a 5x5 board with 3 mines as an example.
Your very first click is the safest one you’ll make all round: 22 safe tiles out of 25, or about 88%. Keep clearing, and that ratio tightens fast. By the time you’ve revealed 20 tiles, only 5 remain, and 3 of those are mines, dropping your next-click odds to about 40%.
Please Note
This example uses a 5x5 board because it’s a common config, but the same shrinking-odds logic applies to any grid size or mine count you pick, from smaller 3x3 boards to larger layouts.
The multiplier compounds precisely because each of those worsening-odds picks paid off; a bigger reward for surviving a longer run of tighter odds is the entire mechanic.
If you want to see this play out on a live board, check out our Mines casinos list. Most run the same odds and multiplier math you’re testing here.
Be Aware
The simulator runs on virtual credits only. Nothing you win or lose here carries over to real-money play at any casino.
A smaller grid with fewer Mines is the easiest way to learn how the tool behaves, since you’ll see steady, smaller multiplier jumps with less pressure riding on each click.
Bump up the mine count, and the board tightens fast: fewer safe tiles left standing means bigger multiplier jumps, but also a much shorter runway before you run out of safe options.
There’s no single right combination here. Some players prefer grinding out small, frequent wins with a low mine count. Others go straight for higher mine counts and cash out early for a quick multiplier instead.
Be Aware
It’s easy to keep clicking after a win to chase a bigger multiplier. Decide your cash-out point before the round starts, not after you’ve already found a few safe tiles.
Our Mines simulator will show you that this is a game of pure luck.
Every tile carries identical odds, no matter which one you click, but how you manage that risk is entirely up to you. Testing a few grid sizes and mine counts here shows you how fast the multiplier grows and how quickly the safe tiles run out, before you put any real money on the line.
