Cheque Casinos Overview
The concept of cheques was notably embraced by the Bank of England, introducing a level of security with its pre-printed forms made from specialized "cheque paper." With a history dating back centuries, cheques today remain an essential part of casino payments, especially withdrawals.

What Does a Cheque Offer?
Essentially, a cheque is a document that gives the green light for payment from your bank account to a chosen beneficiary. Cheques hold their own when it comes to securing financial transactions but come with the trade-off of being one of the slower options available.
These factors have somewhat been addressed by banks who have brought eCheques into the mix. However, deposits using cheques in a real online casino are essentially non-existent.
Author’s Note
While the prominence of cheques has diminished in daily transactions, their utilization in online casinos, particularly for withdrawals, remains prevalent as I mentioned earlier. Mostly thanks to US laws which sometimes leave casinos no choice but to use this payment method.
Fees
This traditional method does come with varied transaction costs, which can range widely from being free to up to $35 in the US, and clearing times tend to hover around two business days.
Security & Dispute Resolution
The process of clearing a cheque involves physical movement of the cheque between banks and meticulous examination for clearance, which undeniably takes time. Now, if you’re playing at a foreign casino, your cheque transaction can take over a month to arrive in some cases.
Are Cheques Worth It?
I cannot recommend using cheques as your withdrawal option unless you are a high roller and play in the most reputed online casinos.
Add to that the fees which can vary from bank to bank in most parts of the world, and the long transaction times and you could do a whole lot better in this day and age of instant transactions.
There are too many variables when opting for this method and you could deposit and withdraw money from casinos much faster using other methods.
